Newtown Tots I and II are non-competitive sports programs designed to teach children
ages three and four the fundamentals of soccer and tee-ball. Its purpose is to
prepare players to enter into our more competitive leagues as they reach the
appropriate ages. Newtown Tots will spend the session learning and developing
the basic skills of soccer and tee-ball through coach instruction, drills, and
games. Players will need shin guards for soccer and a baseball
glove for teeball. Age groups are based on the child's age as of September 1 of the current school year.
Newtown Tots I introduces the basic skills of dribbling and trapping in soccer and catching ground balls and hitting in teeball. Newtown Tots II expands upon those basic skills as well as introduces new skills such as passing and shooting in soccer and catching and throwing in teeball.
