Lacrosse is our fastest growing sport offered in the Spring and Fall through
Newtown Recreation. Lacrosse is available for boys and girls ages 7-17
in the Fall and boy and girls ages 7-10 in the Spring. Games are played at Newtown Park and at local school
fields. Our goal is to help boys and girls learn the fundamental stick skills
and strategies which will help mold them into better players. Age groups are
based on the child's age as of September 1st of the current school year.
Lacrosse players are expected to provide their own equipment. Boys Lacrosse
requires a helmet, pads, stick, mouthguard, and gloves. Girls Lacrosse requires
goggles, mouthguard and stick.
